Frequently asked questions
Do I need previous experience of mindfulness meditation?
No previous experience needed and our expert guidance is designed to ensure all retreaters are able to participate, enjoy and learn whatever level of previous experience.
What time is check in?
Our check and arrival is usually 2-4pm in the afternoon, depending on the retreat.
I’m coming on my own, can you pair me to share?
Yes, we might have some twin rooms available. If someone else is willing to share we can arrange it.
Is it safe to attend a retreat for a single person?
Most of our retreats are for single gender only, with the exception of the couples and therapists retreats. We find often attending a retreat on your own allows you to sort out what you need from life without an audience of people you know. Retreaters are very like minded and you’ll make new friends.
Can I get a single room?
All retreats have rooms that are on a none sharing basis so you can have alone time.
What do I need to bring?
As well as yourself, clothing that can be layered and comfortable, some shoes that can be used for walking (good trainers would be fine) swimming wear and a towel. We have everything else so you don’t have to worry.
Will I have free time during the retreat?
Yes we have free time built into the schedule to chill out, have some alone time or visit the local town.
I have food allergies, can you accommodate me?
All our food is made fresh for the retreat by a qualified chef. This means we can make sure allergies are not a problem and vegan and vegetarian options are also available.
Are the outdoor activities strenuous?
All our outside activities involve short walks to locations and are chosen to be secluded but accessible.
I don’t swim, will that be a problem?
We are happy to help people either take part in shallow water or sit on the sidelines and relax. Wild swimming is fun and helps understand breathing to relax so not essential to actually swim.
I don’t drive, can you provide transport to the retreat?
We can arrange a central point to pick you up and attend the retreat.
